SilcoStar 1950 Super HighFlow

The machine SilcoStar Super HighFlow (1950 SHF) has been concepted for the production of large-volume insulators. The machine’s TWIN version offers automatic refiling of the vats. Moreover, the vats may changed during filling of the mould.

The material filling level in the vats is controlled automatically. In case of different material densities, the machine automatically adjusts the volumetric mixing ratio, assuring a uniform material evacuation from the vats, which is even compensated in case of different filling quantities. By means of a set maximum tolerance the metering tolerances set by the material supplier may be adhered to.

This type of machines works with oscillating pumps, with adjusted commutation points. The metering pumps are actuated by means of servo-hydraulic cylinders. Adjustable jumps largely eliminate the commutation points. The machine may automatically ‚memorize’ those so-called ‚jump addresses’.
2KM does not apply compensator for the material flow compensation, as those compensators might interfere with and actually ‘take over’ the actual metering. This may, especially in case of a modification of the filling speeds, lead to metering errors.

This machine, too, has got a pre-pressure function, thus assuring a uniform pressure during filling of the moulds.

Filling speeds of betwen 1 and 20 liters per minute may be realized.
(This value depends on the material viscosity at a maximum material pressure of 300 bar.)

2KM uses first-class process computers with touch screens. All functions are presented in graphics. This makes the handling quite easy. Various languages may be chosen, which offers a complete control of the whole process.
