ProcessFlowMix PFM 6000
Amongst the metering systems the ProcessFlowMix (PFM) 6000 is the idea unit for production of insulators.
The machine concept includes 2 metering cylinders for the A and B components. In addition, one may install another 2 metering cylinders for the metering of colour and additives.
All the metering cylinders are actuated servo-hydraulically. The metering speeds or mixing ratios are set by the computer.
By means of the process computer different mixing ratios may be defined for all components.
The machine works intermittently. The feeding pumps supply material to the cylinders, and refilling is automatically effected in the work pauses. Before the actual metering into the moulds, a pre-pressure is adjusted. This pre-pressure equals the mould filling pressure. All this helps to guarantee regular pressures during the complete filling process.
In case vats run out of material during the filling process, a warning message is released. The filling process is interrupted and the vats may be changed. Thus it is assured that the vats are always completely emptied. The time needed for the change of vats does not interrupt the process.
Metering into the moulds is 100 % pulsation-free. Different filling speeds may be programmed for the more difficult moulds.
Five different sizes of the PFM 6000 may be furnished (shot size 6 liters, 15 liters, 30 liters, 60 liters, 150 liters).
The following filling speeds may be realized with those machines:
6 liters, 15 liters= 0.1 liters– 20 liters per minute
30 liters, 60 liters= 0.5 liters– 20 liters per minute (special version up to 40 liters per minute)
150 liters= 2.0 liters– 20 liters per minute (special version up to 40 liters per minute)
(the above value depend on the material viscosity at a maximum material pressure of 300 bar).
With our machines it is possible to produce even very large items.
2KM uses first-class process computers with touch screens. All functions are presented in graphics. This makes the handling quite easy. Various languages may be chosen, which offers a complete control of the whole process.
With the metering unit several clamping units may be connected by means of a BUS.
The computer may control up to 6 standard clamping units.
