PowerSpray 2051 Hot Injection Unit

PrintE-mail

The 2KM high-pressure mixing and metering units PowerSpray 2051 have been developed as compact units for use in heavy corrosion protection.

Fields of application of two-component hot-injection systems following the Airless process, are the coating of

  • concrete and steel bridges
  • battery trays and steel constructions
  • tubes, both inside and outside, tanks, and many more

As a compact version of the existing high-capacity range of components PowerSpray 4050 which is being used in the sector of heavy corrosion protection, the construction of the PowerSpray 2051 is limited to the most important components assuring works even in especially difficult circumstances. This hydraulically actuated unit is mobile, i.e. it may also be used rather flexibly on construction sites.

Structure

Standardly the following components are foreseen:

Feeding Pumps

Material supply is effected by hydraulically actuated piston pumps. These are fastened onto an extendable support device which makes positioning into the material containers a lot easier.

Metering Pumps

The metering pumps are mechanically coupled and mutually driven by a hydraulic cylinder. The metering ratio of the A and B components is set by the selection of the pump combination. The hydraulic aggregate actuating the pumps is driven by a 4 kW electric motor.

Material Supply / Heater

Material supply of the A and B components is effected via the feeding and metering pump to the material distributor block. The A component is tempered in a flow heater. A 40 m hose package leads from the material distributor block to the injection gun. The electrical hose package heating is self-limiting up to 50 °C. This means that an expensive and complicated regulating control can be done without. The hose package which is foreseen with insulation and protection may also be constructed in a somewhat longer way. If necessary, the material is cycled via a bypass.

Material Mixture / Rinsing

The A and B components are led separately through the hose package until reaching the mixing block and then mixed homogenously via a static mixer. An Airless injection hose with an injection gun, e.g., may be connected onto this mixer. Standardly, this hose has got a length of 2 m (or longer upon request).

Flushing of the mixing path is effected via a high-pressure rinsing pump.
